Enhancing Access to the Quality Basic Services in Southern Libya in the Municipalities of Ghat, Algatron, Alkufra and Ribyana

Since Feb 2023, ODP in partnership with Helpcode, started the implementation of the
EQUAL project funded by EUTF with the supervision of AICS under the framework of
Baladiyati Program Phase 2
This project provides solar system services for 8 facilities, Light Street for 3 main streets,
rehabilitation for a school, and two general gardens all these interventions in the south of
Libya.
This project aims To contribute to improving the living conditions and resilience of local
communities, migrants, refugees, IDPs, and returnees, with a focus on the most vulnerable
within targeted municipalities of Southern Libya.
The expected results are:
– SO1: To upgrade basic service facilities through the supply of equipment and rehabilitation/
maintenance works
– SO2: To strengthen technical and managerial capacities of relevant basic service providers’
personnel
– SO3: To raise awareness among the target population on inclusive access to basic services.
