Every Drop Counts (القُطْرَة بِحْسَابْهَا)

Social & Behaviour Change Campaign on Water Scarcity in Libya (2026)

Water is life — and every drop counts.

“Every Drop Counts” is a nationwide Social & Behaviour Change (SBC) campaign that promotes practical water-saving habits and strengthens community resilience to water scarcity and climate change—through schools, communities, farms, faith leaders, and media.

About the Campaign

Libya relies heavily on groundwater, and increasing climate pressures—higher temperatures, lower rainfall, and recurring drought—are intensifying water scarcity. “Every Drop Counts” responds by empowering youth, households, and farmers with low-cost, locally applicable water-saving practices, while mobilizing trusted voices (teachers, community leaders, imams, influencers) to shift norms and everyday behaviours.

Goal

To promote water conservation behaviours and improve resilience to water scarcity and climate change in Libya—through a strategic SBC campaign that combines community action with mass communication.
